Emirates

Fly Better

It takes off for the first time from Dubai (UAE) in 1985, when it had only two aircraft.

On October 25, 1985, Emirates operated its flights from Dubai to Karachi and Mumbai, using a Boeing 737 and an Airbus 300 B4 chartered with the Pakistan International Airlines crew.

On July 3, 1987, the A6-EKA flew from Toulouse to Dubai, and Emirates received its first owned aircraft, an Airbus A310-304.

In 1992 Emirates leads the way in inflight entertainment by becoming the first airline to install video systems on all seats and in all cabin classes in its fleet.
